ING vs Procore — MCP Hero Block
Native MCP AI: ING VS Procore

How We're Different

AI is only as good as the data it can see — and which data it can see depends entirely on how the platform was built.

Procore's AI runs through Datagrid as a separate purchase, reading only what lives inside a single account.

INGENIOUS.BUILD's native MCP server connects your AI directly to structured data across every workspace connected to yours — included in INGENIOUS Pro.

Connect Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, or any MCP-compatible AI via OAuth 2.0.

The Difference — INGENIOUS.BUILD
The Difference

Built for the whole project,
not one company's account.

Procore and Datagrid are confined to a single instance — one company's data, one company's account. INGENIOUS.BUILD gives every party on a project — owner, developer, GC, architect, engineer, sub, vendor — its own private workspace. Those workspaces connect on shared projects, routing live structured data between parties rather than attachments. Every party controls their own data. What's shared between them is what the AI can read.

Connected Workspaces. Intelligent Outcomes.

Every workspace includes a native MCP server allowing AI agents to work directly from live project data instead of uploaded files. AI can access only the information that has been intentionally shared.

No manual uploads. No blind spots.

Private by default. Connected by design.
Five Questions Every Buyer Asks

INGENIOUS.BUILD vs Procore

How the two platforms answer the questions that matter on a live project.

Procore (with Datagrid)
INGENIOUS.BUILD Native MCP
What data can the AI actually reach?
Procore project data is company/account-based. Datagrid reads data inside the account of the company that purchased it — no one else's. Even if every party on your project uses Procore, each one runs a separate instance that Datagrid cannot see into. Data that moves between them — drawings, RFIs, invoices — still travels as attachments that have to be manually uploaded before the AI can read them. Manual uploads introduce lag — and on a live project, by the time the AI sees it, the data may already be stale. Stale data isn't a delay — it's untracked risk. Procore's 100+ connectors stitch one company's internal tech stack — they don't connect between companies on a project.
Connected workspaces, AI-ready by design. On INGENIOUS when data is shared between workspaces it arrives instantly as live structured data — not an attachment waiting to be uploaded. The native MCP server connects Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, or any MCP-compatible AI directly to your workspace data the moment it's shared, reading across every connected workspace you have access to. No delay. No gap for risk to live in.
Private by default. Connected by design.
What does the security review look like?
Digital Coworker package required. Admin-gated. Projects must be indexed. Getting Datagrid AI running requires a Procore Digital Coworker package, a Company Admin to enable it, and individually indexing each project to unlock project-specific answers and agentic actions. Once a project is selected and indexed for Procore AI, Procore currently states that it cannot be undone.
User-permissioned. No new access surface. The native MCP server inherits the user's existing role, workspace, and record-level permissions. The AI sees exactly what the user sees in the UI — nothing more. Revoke a user's access and the AI loses it the same second.
What does it cost as usage grows?
Digital Coworker package. Credit-based at scale. Requires a Procore Digital Coworker package. Pro and Enterprise use shared AI credit pools. AI questions, agent tasks, data ingestion, storage, syncing, and background processes consume credits.
Included in INGENIOUS Pro. The native MCP server ships with the platform. Connect Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, or any MCP-compatible AI and use it as much as your team needs — the price doesn't change.
How is the AI connected to the platform?
Procore AI + connected Datagrid environment. Procore AI is embedded in the Procore side panel and is provisioned with a connected Datagrid environment. Users can choose models such as Claude, GPT, or Gemini, while Datagrid provides the AI infrastructure, indexing, agents, and connection to Procore data.
Native MCP server, first-party. Connect Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, or another MCP-compatible AI tool directly to INGENIOUS.BUILD via OAuth 2.0. The MCP server connects INGENIOUS.BUILD data and capabilities without requiring a separate AI orchestration product between the platform and the AI.
How mature is the platform today?
Generally available. Procore AI is available through Digital Coworker Starter, Pro, and Enterprise packages.
Available today across the full project lifecycle. Live in production via the native MCP server — across schedule, budget, RFIs, submittals, contracts, change orders, invoices, and meetings.
What data can the AI actually reach?
Procore (with Datagrid) Procore project access is company/account-based. Datagrid reads data inside the account of the company that purchased it — no one else's. Data that moves between them — drawings, RFIs, invoices — still travels as attachments that have to be manually uploaded before the AI can read them. What does the security review look like?
Procore (with Datagrid) Separate agreement. Admin-gated. Projects must be indexed. Getting Datagrid AI running requires a separate Datagrid service agreement on top of your Procore subscription, a Company Admin to enable it, and individually indexing each project to unlock project-specific answers and agentic actions. Once a project is selected and indexed for Procore AI, Procore currently states that it cannot be undone.
INGENIOUS.BUILD Native MCP User-permissioned. No new access surface. The native MCP server inherits the user's existing role, workspace, and record-level permissions. The AI sees exactly what the user sees in the UI — nothing more. Revoke a user's access and the AI loses it the same second.
What does it cost as usage grows?
Procore (with Datagrid) Purchased separately. Credit consumption model. Requires a separate Datagrid subscription on top of Procore. Every AI question, every agent task, and every background sync — including indexing and keeping projects up to date — burns credits.

How mature is the platform today?
Procore (with Datagrid) Limited availability as of April 2026. Currently limited to select customers, with broader availability expected this summer — though Procore has made no formal commitment to timeline or feature scope.

Why This Matters

The AI advantage is only as real as
the data behind it.

Better Answers, Full Project

When your AI has the full picture — not just your company's fragment — it catches risk before it becomes a problem. Earlier signals, sharper recommendations, decisions you can stand behind.

Real Workflow

Construction moves fast and coordination failures are expensive. When every party works on the same live project data, approvals happen in real time, responses don't get lost in inboxes, and nothing stalls because someone forgot to forward a file.

Secure by Inheritance

The native MCP server respects every user's existing role, workspace, and record-level permissions. The AI sees exactly what the user sees in the UI — nothing more. No new access surface to govern. Revoke a user's access and the AI loses it the same second.

Predictable Pricing

The native MCP server is included in INGENIOUS Pro. No per-use credit consumption. No surprise bills when your team starts using AI more. Connect whichever model you use and run it as much as you want — the price doesn't change.
